Cryptozoology is the study of and conservation of unknown animals. It involves educating and encouraging people to learn about natural history.

Sadly, today’s test-driven educational system is causing social changes that make it very difficult for children and adults to learn about the natural world and Cryptozoology. Without amateur naturalists we would have never had historical naturalists such as Charles Darwin, Linneaus, or even today’s David Attenborough. We would not have excellent videos such as “Amazing Bugs You Probably Didn’t Know About”:

Or “Amazing! Bird Sounds From the Lyre Bird” by David Attenborough:

And there would be a profound absence of zoological free-thinkers.

The science of cryptozoology needs to be preserved so that people everywhere can learn how to appreciate and learn from the natural world. Not knowing about the natural world would result in a huge loss for all of us.
