I once beautiful red-winged dragonflies hovering above a patch of grass on the side of the road at sun set. Dragonflies are fascinating, super athletes of nature that symbolize angels. This experience with them inspired me to write a haiku poem about them.

Dragonfly

Red-winged dragonflies

Float in the autumn sunset

Love is in the air

Iridescent wings

A graceful, dancing ballet

Clearing illusions

Awareness of self

Uninhibited vision

Nymph change to adult
