One of my favorite artists is Gustav Klimt.

Gustav Klimt was an Austro-Hungarian artist that lived in Vienna during the time of Sigmund Freud (1862 – 1981). Artists of his time did not like his style and called it vulgar.

His Nuda Veritas painting is a painting of a woman named Eva who represents a femme fatale.  It contains an interesting quotation from dramatist Schiller “If you cannot please everyone with your art, please a few. To please many is bad.”

His famous painting, The Kiss, transformed the taboo of kissing in his time.

The Dancer to express his idea of what feminine was.
