Agreeing to disagree can be used to make peace. However, I have very seldom heard of people doing that. One reason why this occurs may be because there are drawbacks to doing so. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One example of when agreeing to disagree on something might not be a good thing would be when, &#8220;one person takes illegal drugs and his or her significant other disagrees with this&#8230; That may be a problem because, to me, non-drug user should not stay in such a relationship&#8221;. In this instance one can not just let the situation be in order to make peace.
